Just a few months after launch NASA latest telescope Kepler has possibly discovered multiple planets in another solar system. The telescope works by measuring the tiny changes in the brightness of stars as planets pass in front of them detecting two Saturn size planets. They have been codenamed Kelper 9b and 9c with an estimated distance of 2,000 light years in the constellation Lyra. With this information it has become the closest to detecting and searching for light beyond our world; as this is Kepler beginning a journey more to come in time.

NASA has extended the Shuttle Program for just a few more months leaving the last launch on February 26, 2011. This decision has come to wards the end of the aging space program mainly do to delay of parts for the International Space Station as well as conflicts with other rocket launches. This will spare some 7,500 people jobs for just a few more months if not longer. The space station would have to survive until 2020 before it can receive it's next major payload.
