NASA has extended the Shuttle Program for just a few more months leaving the last launch on February 26, 2011. This decision has come to wards the end of the aging space program mainly do to delay of parts for the International Space Station as well as conflicts with other rocket launches. This will spare some 7,500 people jobs for just a few more months if not longer. The space station would have to survive until 2020 before it can receive it's next major payload.
