Over the past few days network security advisor's have been meeting in Los Vegas for Black Hat 2010. This year has a shocking warning sent to the banking industry with a on rise of security problems with the ATM Systems. A security expert ordered three different ATM from different manufacturers to find security holes. First they had keys developed to unlock the ATM to access the mainframe system to slip in a program. By opening up this system they found it easy to add programs via USB, then slip in the software. The security on the system from ordering to access must be increased to protect the ATM Network. The software they developed cause the ATM to spit out all of its money - major issue. We are sure the banking industry is looking at this to increase security from access to ordering right now because this made national press this week and can not be avoided.
